Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with Under display fingerprint sensor leaks in new patent sketch

Though Samsung is yet to unveil the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, new leak regrading the Galaxy Note 9 that will be announced in the second half of the year pops up. The leak is nothing but a patent sketch of Samsung’s under display fingerprint sensor. It is said that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 might be the first phone to get it later this year.

Though Samsung is late in the under display fingerprint sensor game, it will be better than the already announced X20 Plus UD smartphone from Vivo. Because, the South Korean tech titan has more resources than any other out there for research and development. Further, the present under display fingerprints sensor technology by both Synaptics and Qualcomm are way more slower than the regular fingerprint sensors. That is why Samsung ditched the this technology for its Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus which will be unveiled on February 25.

Also, Samsung might licence their under display fingerprint sensor technology to other manufacturers as well. This will certainly boost the company’s profits considering how the bezel less 18:9 displays are going popular nowadays. However, Samsung still earns and will continue earning more from their AMOLED displays as they dominate the market.

As of now, we can only take this leak with a pinch of salt as there are still chances of it not going official this year. Anyways, don’t forget to comment your thoughts below.
