Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ gets March 2021 Security Patch update

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are receiving the March 2021 security update. The smartphones officially run on the latest One UI 2.5 (based on Android 10). Both are international Exynos 9810 models. The previous flagships have already received the update and now Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have joined the league.

However, both smartphones will not receive any new Android update but have got a new security patch update. Both the smartphones have received two security updates till now. Also, the new update will bring security improvements and stability optimizations. The March 2021 security update will bring fixes for 3 critical bugs and 26 high-level vulnerabilities.

The new update for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will carry firmware versions G960FXXSFFUB3 and G965FXXSFFUB3 respectively. Both will receive security updates only and no new features and changes.

The update is already rolling out for both the devices and can reach the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ users by the end of the month. It will appear automatically on your device. If you have not received it yet, you can go to your phone’s Settings > Software updates > Download and install.
