Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 leaked render reveals no physical home button

Samsung’s forthcoming flagship tablet – the Galaxy Tab S4 has been in the news for a while now. The tablet has been leaked numerous times in the past few weeks. And now, we have the first look of the Galaxy Tab S4 via a leaked render which reveals no physical home button. This makes the Galaxy Tab S4 be the first Samsung tablet to omit physical home button.

As you can see from the render above, the Galaxy Tab S4 will sport a larger display than the Galaxy Tab S3 with lesser bezels. Due to which, the Samsung logo on the top as well as the physical home button at the bottom have been omitted. The previous generation models came with the fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button. But now as the home button has been removed, the Galaxy Tab S4 might not feature a fingerprint sensor. However, it seems that it will come equipped with an iris scanner instead.

Coming to the back of the device, the camera placement is similar to its predecessor. But, the logo has been changed to ‘Samsung | Tuned by AKG’ instead of ‘Tuned by AKG’ and moved further down. The power and volume keys also follow the same placement as the previous Galaxy Tab S.

As for specifications, it might be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For optics, it may feature a 13MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor. It is expected to come with a 7,300 mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo onboard. Also, it will support Samsung DeX to turn the Galaxy Tab S4 into a PC.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is expected to be announced at IFA 2018. But, before that Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9.
