Samsung’s new fast wireless charger leaks, expected to launch alongside Galaxy S9

We had plenty of leaks about the upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus from Samsung. We also now know that Samsung will announce an upgraded version of DeX alongside Galaxy S9 / S9 Plus. But, we never came to know about the new fast wireless charger which will be also launched at the same time until now bearing the model number EP-N5100.

This upcoming new wireless charger leaks via its user manual which can be downloaded from Samsung itself. The new Samsung fast wireless charger(EP-N5100) will feature better design than its predecessors. Though the overall form factor will remain the same, it will be a bit slimmer and flatter than the previous versions.

The Samsung EP-N5100 fast wireless will follow Qi standard like its predecessor but will come with two coils instead of three. The two coils will be stacked up on each other and will be of nine volts / two amps each. Which means this new wireless charger will be capable of providing output of 18 watts. But, however FCC lists this charger with maximum output lesser than 15 watts which is kind of strange. That also means it won’t be much faster than its predecessor.

Further, this upcoming Samsung wireless charger will also feature integrated fan to cool down the device when the temperature exceeds. The new EP-N5100 fast wireless charger from Samsung will be available in Black / White colors and will cost around 75 Euros. Expect this charger to be announced alongside Galaxy S9 on February 25.
