Reports suggest that while both Visa and Mastercard are on board, Samsung Pay is presently available to the customers of MBNA, Nationwide and Santander only.

Samsung Pay is currently compatible with recent Galaxy flagships, to be named, S6/S6 Edge, S7/S7Edge, S8/S8+, the A3 and A5 among others. If Samsung Pay did not come pre-installed on your device, you can download it from Google Play Store.

If you own any of the above compatible devices, and have not yet given Samsung Pay a try, you may need to check below requirements.

  • A compatible Samsung device
  • A supported payment card from a participating bank
  • A Samsung account
  • A registered fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN
  • To be located in the country of the participating bank

In the coming days, we expect Samsung Pay to extend support for other major UK banks.
