Samsung to launch Galaxy M01 and M11 on June 2 in India

Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its new budget devices, the Galaxy M01 and M11. The most attractive selling point will be the inclusion of Snapdragon processors on board. The devices have been leaked in the past but recent teasers on Flipkart indicate a June 2nd launch.

Flipkart has teased the arrival of Samsung Galaxy M01 and M11 on 2nd June at 12.00 Noon IST. Reports indicate that the devices will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs. It must be noted that earlier versions of the Galaxy M10 had Samsung’s Exynos processors.

Galaxy M01 and M11 specifications

According to Sammobile, the Galaxy M01 is rumored to be sport a Snapdragon 439 while the M11 will have Snapdragon 450 SoC onboard.  This is a new trend as Samsung seems to be leaning towards Qualcomm on its budget devices too.

The e-commerce site hasn’t revealed much regarding the specifications of these devices. The teaser image of M01 says the device will come with a 4,000mAh battery and has a 13Mp + 2MP sensors on the back. It is expected to have a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels and a waterdrop notch.

On the other hand, teasers of Galaxy M11 say the device will have a 6.4-inch HD+ infinity-o display with a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels and a 5,000 mAh battery. The device had launched a few months back in Vietnam and hence, we have more info about the device. It will have a triple-camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Storage, Pricing and Availability

Both the devices will have Micro SD card slots for expansion. Additionally, the Galaxy M01 and M11 will have 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS for connectivity. Talking about the pricing, the Galaxy M01 is expected to start at Rs.8,999 for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant.

The Galaxy M11 on the other hand expected to be priced at Rs.10,999 for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, and Rs.12,999 for the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage. Both the devices will be available on Flipkart and we will have to wait for the launch to know more about availability.
