Sony resumes Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra Android 7.0 Nougat update


Recently, the news has come that Sony is going to recommence the Nougat rollout for 2 of its smartphones i.e. Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra.

The users had started receiving this update by the last month’s end, but due to some errors the company had temporarily stopped the update. The update had been temporarily suspended due to irregularities related to the over-the-air delivery system.

When the update had been suspended for a while Sony had reported that soon it would be back again, and as stated by the company the update is back live again within a month.

Sony Mobile is rolling out slightly newer build numbers as compared to the previous firmware. Compared to the 1st versions, this duo of Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra is experiencing a more recent firmware-

  • The Xperia XA will get 33.3.A.0.131 build number, whereas the previous one was 33.3.A.0.127
  • The XA Ultra is will get 36.1.A.0.182 build number, whereas the previous one was 36.1.A.0.179
