Sony has finally started to rollout the Android 8.0 Oreo for the Xperia XZ Premium device. The sony seems to be ahead of schedule as they have give time limit of December for the update but it is here. Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the flagship device of the Sony and it seems the special tag has done its magic. As the update has started to rollout in many regions starting from today.
As per the official Sony Blog, the update packs all the luxuries of the Android 8.0 Oreo. The luxuries include improved battery life. Now, more notifications controls are present in the latest and greatest Android OS version. Designwise, there are many other changes like adaptive icons and picture-in-picture mode.
Talking about the additions or features that Sony has incorporated, then it is going to pack inbuilt 3D creator. It allows you to scan your face or any other object and will render it as a 3D avatar in less than 60 seconds. The other features like Predictive Capture, Autofocus Burst, Improved sound quality, App shortcuts and many other features are present in the update.
This flagship device packs Youtube supports HDR and it is among the few device which supports this feature.
As per Sony, it will take time for the update to reach out all the users. Already, Xperia XZ Premium Rosso is coming packed with Android 8.0 Oreo in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Middle East & Africa.
Users who are owning the Rosso variant of the Xperia XZ Premium in other areas will get the update shortly after purchasing.
