Sony’s new PlayLink for PS4 will let users play games in groups

The E3 conference is a big deal for gamers and while there have been some big announcements at the conference. Notably, one interesting announcement that caught our eye is the PlayLink for PS4.

 

It is an app to make your smartphones an extension for what is being played on the console. Hence, it is meant for a group of people who want to play in a over phone and PS4. Also, PlayLink supports both Android and iOS devices.

The game titles offered for PlayLink can be purchased from PS4’s Playstation Store. Users will need to have phone/tablet with the app, a PlayStation 4 and a TV. The app will sync other devices with the PS4 and let other devices control the game.

Moreover, Sony is already developing game titles suitable for group play but as of now, there is one title called That’s You!. This game is free and will be available for all PlayStation Plus members on July 4. Further, Sony also plans to launch other titles like Hidden Agenda from the mystery genre. Other titles include Knowledge is Power from the trivia category, Frantics (arcade), and SingStar Celebration (singing).
