The surprising fact is that the company did not include this phone in the list of eligible devices for the update in January. Back in February, Vivo was rolling out the Android 11 update to Vivo X50, Vivo X50 Pro, and many more. The company is now rolling out the Funtouch OS 11 (based on Android 11) to Vivo Y19 without any official announcement.

The Update

The update carries firmware version rev 6.73.6 and has a file size of around 3.6GB. The update will transform the handset completely with all the great features of Android 11. It enhances the performance of the system and improves stability. It optimizes the home screen editing function and improves display effects.

According to the reports, Vivo will first roll out the update to a few users to check for its performance and stability. The update will then roll out widely among the Y19 users across the globe. The company has always kept up its game of releasing the latest updates for its eligible devices. It gives a tough competition to other smartphone giants like Oppo and Realme.

The company is actively rolling to the Android 11 based Funtouch OS 11 update for the Vivo Y19. The users will receive the latest update automatically on their smartphones. They can also navigate to their device’s Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install to grab the update.
