Xiaomi expands their smart television series with Mi TV 4A in India

Last month, along with the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi also unveiled their first smart TV for the Indian market. It is none other than the company’s thinnest television, the Mi TV 4. Now today, after teasing for a week, Xiaomi announced two new televisions under Mi TV 4A series.

The two new Xiaomi Mi TV 4A smart televisions come in different sizes and screen resolution. The smaller and cheapest one features a 32-inch HD (1366 x 768 pixels) LED panel, whereas the other one sports a 43-inch FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) LED panel. Moreover, rest of the specifications are identical on both the models except for port configurations.

Mi TV 4A 32-inch Specifications

It is powered by Amlogic Cortex A53 quad-core up to 1.5GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. As for GPU, it features an integrated Mali-450 MP3 which can go up to 750MHz. As for connectivity is concerned, it comes with two USB 2.0 ports, WiFi(2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n), one headphone jack, one AV port, three HDMI ports(one with ARC support), and one Ethernet port.

The TV also comes with two 10W speakers with DTS and Dolby support. As for software, the TV runs on Xiaomi’s Patchwall UI which is basically a heavy skin on top of Android. Xiaomi’s this software uses AI to recommend shows and movies. Last but not least, the TV also comes with Xiaomi’s smart remote which only has 11 buttons.

Mi TV 4A 43-inch Specifications

As we mentioned earlier, most of the specifications remain the same for both the models. The 43-inch model comes with two USB 3.0 ports instead of 2.0 as found on 32-inch version. Other connectivity options remain the same, i.e. three HDMI ports(one with ARC support), one Ethernet port, one AV port and one headphone jack.

Both the version of the Xiaomi Mi TV 4A will first go on sale on 13th March across Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Homes. The 32 measure model is priced at Rs.13,999, whereas the 43-inch version will retail for Rs.22,999. Xiaomi also confirmed that these two televisions will go on sale twice a week, i.e Tuesdays and Fridays.
