It came to be known yesterday that Xiaomi’s much-hyped #DeshKaSmartphone, is actually just a Redmi 5A launch. The handset being already launched in China is just having its formal Indian release today. Hence, pretty much everything is known about the device. The Redmi 5A has virtually the same specs and design of its predecessor, the Redmi 4A. Moreover, there will be minimal differences in price, and software OS. Xiaomi will price the Redmi 5A lower than the Redmi 4A, but not by much. Judging from its 599 Yuan price tag, it should be priced somewhat lower than Rs. 5,999.
One of the few changes that will interest users is MIUI 9. Xiaomi will pack the handset with Android Nougat wrapped in MIUI 9 right out of the box. As you may know, the latest Xiaomi skin comes with a host of new features like Smart Assistant, Smart app launcher, Image search, quick reply, and a many more features.
