Following Greece, Xiaomi is now rolling out the latest version Android Nougat update to the Redmi Note 4 devices in India. The MIUI version, however, is only 8.5.4.0 instead of the expected version number 9.
The update is being sent out as OTA and you might receive the notification any time now. The size of the update is approximately 1.3 GB and it also comes with the latest July security patch.
Xiaomi is planning to roll out the Android Nougat based China Developer ROM tomorrow, August 11th. So you might expect to receive the MIUI 9 update soon on your Redmi Note 4.
Android Nougat 7.0 Features
The latest Android Nougat update brings with it a lot of new features like split screen multi tasking, faster update and app launch speeds and better control over notifications. Xiaomi is also reported to add a few new themes and improve the overall stability of the system in this update.
If you have not yet received the Nougat 7.0 update, then you have to wait for a few more weeks. This is because the update is being sent out in phases and it might take some time to reach all the Redmi Note 4 devices out there.
