For the past few weeks, users have been facing a ‘phantom call’ issue on their smartphones. The reason for this is Skype Lite which triggers these calls when a bluetooth device was connected. Actually, these were not really calls, they simply steal audio focus from the connected bluetooth device. Now, to solve this issue, the developers updated the Skype lite app to v1.25 which is now available in the Play Store.

Skype is the widely used video calling platform around the world. Due to this bug, users had to uninstall the app as there was no other way to avoid those ‘phantom calls’. But, now after this update users can use it without any issues. The update is live in the Play Store, but you can also download the APK from the link provided at the end of the post. In order to install the update manually, you have to enable install from unknown sources in the settings of your phone. Then simply open the APK file to install it on your device.
Note: This bug was only present in Skype Lite, the regular Skype does not have this issue. So, its fine to use it if you are not interested in the lite app.
