Asus ZenFone 3 laser getting Android Nougat 7.1.1 globally

Android Nougat 7.1.1 is still getting seeded to few smartphones this month. Among those is the Asus ZenFone 3 Laser. Its bigger brother (Asus ZenFone 3 Max) already received the new version 7.1.1. The release is global and should arrive in countries in stages.

Since the update is feature packed with goodies like App shortcuts, emojis, and GIFs support and more. It is going to be heavier than 1 GB. The version is named V30.41.12.1, if you want to keep an eye out. It is being seeded OTA (over the air).

The ZenFone 3 laser is still the flagship phone for Asus as the Taiwanese OEM has delayed the launch of the Zenfone 4 due to sudden design changes mode to the device. It is only the second device to receive the update after the Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom.

Asus doesn’t give away many details regarding the new update but it is reasonable to assume it will also include the latest security patch.

Don’t forget, before pressing the trigger, just make sure you take safety precautions for your data. Get yourself hooked to a good Wi-Fi connection and charge your devices to full. Happy updating!
