Starting today, Asus has started rolling out Nougat 7.0 update to the Asus Zenfone 3 Max with model number ZC520TL. This is to note that Asus has released two different models under Asus Zenfone 3 Max name. The device with model number ZC520TL was released in July 2016 while the updated version with model number ZC553KL was released in November 2016. While the latest device was updated to Android 7.0 Nougat last month, its time for the older model to receive the update.
The update brings all the new features offered by Android Nougat, for instance, Quick switching apps, Split-screen mode, redesigned notifications, improved Doze mode and so on. The update comes with version number V14.10.1705.35 and is being rolled out over-the-air (OTA). Therefore, it may take about a week’s time for the update to reach all the users.
If you do not see the update prompt, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings ->About Phone -> System Update. At this time, no additional details are available about the update.
We advise you to keep your device charged to at least 80 percent before installing the update. Also, you must be connected to a reliable Wi-Fi connection to seamlessly install the update.
