February 2021 security update hits Huawei Maimang 8 and Enjoy 9S


After the fruitful rollout of new updates to many smartphones, Huawei has begun cultivating the February 2021 Security Patch update to the Huawei Maimang 8 and Enjoy 9S smartphones. The update is based on EMUI 10 and carries the firmware version

As stated by the release note, it includes only the new security patch. Apart from that, reportedly, the company has not added any new features or major changes to the device. However, as it is a Google security patch, it includes fixes for 2 critical and 26 high levels and 77 medium levels of CVEs for better system protection. The changelog of this update is as follows.


  • Integrates the Android security patch released in February 2021.

The Huawei Maimang 8 and Enjoy 9S users will receive a notification if the update hits their device. Alternatively, the update can be checked manually from Settings > System & updates > Software update >Check for the updates. It can also be checked from the Support app. To do that, open the Support app and make a beeline to Services tab > Update > Check for updates > Download and install the update.
