The Update

The system update speeds up the app launch and enhances booting time by 20%. It further improves battery life. It now has a new UI for changing brightness and the ability to set the screen time off-limit. The theatre/cinema mode remains active until it is disabled manually. It allows the users to activate as well as turn off the Google Assistant by long-pressing the power button. There is now an increase in the Tile limit of the screen.

Since the update came into effect, users have not reported any issues in the update. H-MR2 is rolling out two updates together – one carries the build number PXE2.201012.028 and the other update carries the February 2021 security patch. The update with the security patch carries the build number PXE2.201012.032.

The users need to visit Settings > Check for the updates to trigger the update. The Fossil Gen 5 Wear OS H-MR2 is rolling out to devices including TicWatch Pro 3, Oppo Watch, Suunto 7, and Moto 360. Google came up with a new Wear OS H-MR3 teaser recently.
