Galaxy Note 10+ 5G scores 66 points on DxOMark Audio test

Recently, DxOMark added two new test cases for smartphones in addition to ‘Camera'(rear cameras). And they are ‘Selfie’ for front cameras and ‘Audio’ for speakers as well as microphones. The Audio test for the phones is carried out at the last and thus, the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G finally gets its DxOMark Audio score of 66 points. The firm has already released the scores for Camera and Selfie tests for the said device but the Audio score was pending until now.

According to DxOMark Audio review, the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G is one of the best Android smartphones for the audio experience. But however, it still falls behind Huawei Mate 30 Pro‘s 75 points. Anyways, the device’s speakers perform well overall with good preservation of sound stage and are free of audible artefacts. At the same time, they lack in bass power and precision with inconsistent volume at lower levels and slight distortion at higher levels.

As far as recording through the phone’s microphone is concerned, it does not do that well with poor tonal balance along with muffled midrange and treble sounds. Also, there’s volume pumping when shouted and the voice may sound robotic sometimes due to the aggressive noise reduction which can be perhaps fixed with a software update
