Depending upon the market, the 5G family powers the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200. For software, the trio fuels Android 12 OS paired with One UI 4.1 on top. • [January 16, 2024]: Samsung is rolling out the January 2024 security patch to Galaxy S22. The new firmware version of Galaxy S22: S90xBXXS7DWL3.
• [December 20, 2023]: Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus users in India have begun receiving a new update with the December 2023 Android Security patch. The update enhances the overall system security. The update can be identified by firmware version S901EXXS7DWL1/S901EOXM7DWL1/S901EXXS7DWL1.
• [December 19, 2023]: Samsung is pushing the December SMR to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in Europe and Asia. The updated firmware build number for the 2022 flagship phones is S90*BXXS7DWL1.
• [November 30, 2023]: Samsung released One UI 6 on Android 14 for the Galaxy S22. The November 2023 security patch that is also available to users in Europe and users in the US are getting the DWK5 build number.
• [October 26, 2023]: Samsung released One UI 6 betas for the Galaxy S22. The beta for the S22 should have fewer bugs, and bugs are expected to appear in a beta.
• [October 13, 2023]: Samsung started rolling out the 2nd One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy S22. The One UI 6.0 beta 2 update for the Galaxy S22 in India and includes the October 2023 security patch. Users can identify it by firmware version S90xEXXU7ZWj3.
• [October 13, 2023]: The rollout of the October 2023 security update for Galaxy S22 smartphones. The Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S22 series is getting the update firmware version ending in CWI1 internationally.
• [September 07, 2023]: Samsung is now rolling out a new monthly update, that is September 2023 security patch. The Galaxy S22, carrying model number SM-S90xB, now has access to the September 2023 update from Samsung. The update can be identified by firmware version S90xBXXS6CWH6.
• [August 29, 2023]: Samsung is rolling out its latest Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 for the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung has rolled out this latest update with a new identification build number for the Galaxy S22 series, which consists of three devices: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Three of them are holding S908USQU3CWGI, S908USQU3CWGI, and S908USQU3CWGI versions, respectively.
• [August 22, 2023]: Samsung has now started releasing an Android 13-based One UI August 2023 security update for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra users in South Korea. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are getting the new update with firmware version numbers S901NKSU3CWGI, S906NKSU3CWGI, and S908NKSU3CWGI, respectively.

• [August 10, 2023]: The August 2023 security update is now available for Galaxy S22 series phones. The latest software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with firmware version S90xEXXS6CWG9. The update is available in some Latin American countries, including Brazil, Chile, and Colombia and in others, it’s S90*EXXS6CWGA.
• [July 05, 2023]: Samsung is now rolling out July 2023 Security Update for the Galaxy S22. The S90xBXXS6CWF6 firmware for the Galaxy S22 series.
• [June 22, 2023]: Carrier-locked and unlocked units of the Galaxy S22 series available in the US. The update comes with firmware build numbers S90*USQU2CWE7 and S90*U1UEU2CWE8, respectively.
• [May 09, 2023]: The May 2023 security update available for the Galaxy S22 series across Europe can be identified by firmware version S90xBXXS4CWD3. Similarly, the US-unlocked Galaxy S22 series is getting the May 2023 update through firmware version S90xU1UES2CWD3.
• [April 18, 2023]: Samsung‘s April 2023 Security update for the Galaxy S22 series is available widely in the US. The carrier-locked Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in the US comes with the firmware build number S90xUSQU2CWCF.
• [April 10, 2023]: The latest April 2023 security patch software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra receiving it with firmware version S90xEXXU4CWCE. The latest security patch fixes over 60 security flaws, including the critical ones related to Exynos processors and Exynos modems.
• [April 05, 2023]: The April 2023 security patch update for the Galaxy S22 is rolling out with the firmware version S908U1UES2CWCC. The April 2023 security patch from Samsung patches over 65+ security vulnerabilities, including one for the scary Exynos modem issue.
• [March 09, 2023]: The latest software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra brings the March 2023 security update to the phones. It comes with firmware version S90xBXXU3CWBE and is available in European countries, including Germany and the Netherlands.
• [January 27, 2023]: Samsung is expanding the availability of its January 2023 security patch to the Galaxy S22 series. The update is rolling out with the new firmware version S90xEXXS2BWA2.
• [January 06, 2023]: Samsung has released a new security update for its Galaxy S22 series. This security patch fixes vulnerabilities in firmware version S90xU1UES2BVL4 and is currently rolling out to carrier-unlocked units on AT&T , Comcast , Cricket , US Cellular , Verizon and Xfinity Mobile .
• [December 19, 2022]: The new software update upgrades the firmware version to S90xU1UEU2BVL1, and it brings the December 2022 security patch. The update is currently rolling out to the carrier-unlocked versions of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra on four networks in the US.
• [December 16, 2022]: The December 2022 Security Patch is now widely rolling out in the European countries via the firmware version S90xBXXU2BVL1.
• [November 17, 2022]: Carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra are receiving a new firmware version S901USQU2BVK1 in the US. It brings the November 2022 security patch that fixes close to four dozen security vulnerabilities.
• [November 13, 2022]: The devices Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra of the Galaxy S22 series in the US got this update. The update is available for the models S901USQU2BVK1, S906USQU2BVK1, and S908USQU2BVK1.

• [September 30, 2022]: The October 2022 Security Patch is now widely rolling out in the Asian market too via the firmware version S908EXXS2AVI7 in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
• [September 29, 2022]: Even before the month begins, the Galaxy S22 becomes the first Android device to get the October 2022 security patch. The update is rolling out for the unlocked models in the US with firmware version S90XU1UES2AVI5. It improves the privacy of the device. It might as well include some general bug fixes and stability improvements.
• [September 14, 2022]: Samsung Galaxy S22 series in the US is getting the September 2022 security patch. The update is live for the carrier-locked version. For T-Mobile’s network, the build arrives with firmware version S90xUSQS2AVHL. Whereas, version S90xUSQS2AVHH is available for Comcast and Xfinity Mobile’s networks.
• [September 13, 2022]: Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra are getting the September 2022 security patch update in more markets. Precisely, it is available in  Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, and the UAE. You can identify the build with firmware version S90xEXXS2AVHD.

• [September 08, 2022]: Samsung is bringing September 2022 security Patch to Galaxy S22 Series. Starting with the Galaxy S22 Ultra Exynos based in Italy, the update will come live in other parts of the world soon. The firmware version S90xBXXS2AVHD is rolling out to the users. 
• [September 1, 2022]: Samsung is rolling the Second consecutive update for Galaxy S22 series (S901BXXU2AVH9, S906BXXU2AVH9, and S908BXXU2AVH9) based on the August 2022 security Patch in India. However, reports suggest that it is the third update based on the August 2022 Security Patch in European Countries. There’s nothing specific about the changes in the changelog part from overall stability and security improvements.
  

  

  

• [September 1, 2022]: The Verizon-based units of the Galaxy S22 series are picking up a new software update in the US. This time, the package brings the One UI 4.1.1 features. Precisely, the build adds Private Share which allows you to edit names once files are shared through private sharing, and Smart View which enhances the Multi-View. The changes are a part of the firmware version S90xUSQU2AVHB.

• [August 11, 2022]: Samsung has started pushing a new update for the Verizon units of the Galaxy S22 series. It brings the August 2022 security patch to smartphones. Apart from it, the changelog doesn’t mention any other changes. The update comes with the build number S901USQU2AVG8 for the Galaxy S22. At the same time, the Galaxy S22+ gets the update with the firmware version S906USQU2AVG8. While the top-of-the-line Galaxy S22 Ultra has S908USQU2AVG8 as the build number.
• [August 8, 2022]: Samsung is extending the availability of the August 2022 security patch to more markets. The build is currently rolling out for carrier-unlocked variants in the US. It bumps the firmware version to S90xU1UEU2AVG8. Besides fixing dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities, it might as well bring some general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
• [August 1, 2022]: The August 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S22 series is having a wider rollout. The update is rolling out with firmware version S90xEXXU2AVG6 in Latin America. Whereas, the carrier-locked versions of the lineup are upgrading in the US with firmware version S908USQU2AVG6. On the other hand, the build is also available in Russia and South Korea with firmware versions S90xBXXU2AVG6 and S90xNKSU2AVG6 respectively.
• [July 28, 2022]: The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra become the first Android smartphone to receive the August 2022 security patch. As of now, the update is rolling out in Europe with firmware version S90xBXXU2AVG6. Besides increasing system security, the build might as well bring some general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
• [July 11, 2022]: The July 2022 security patch is now released for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra in the US. For the carrier-locked versions, the build arrives on firmware version S908USQU2AVF7. While the firmware version is S908U1UEU2AVF7 for the unlocked models.
• [July 4, 2022]: The Galaxy S22 series become the first Android smartphone to receive the July 2022 security patch. Arriving on the firmware version S90xEXXU2AVF9, the update is available in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. More countries will get a hit soon in the coming days.
• [June 23, 2022]: Samsung is expanding the June 2022 security patch update for the Galaxy S22 series. This time, the update is available for the T-mobile variants in the US. The update arrives on firmware version S90xxxQU2AVF1 for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
• [June 21, 2022]: The carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S22 series in the US are getting the June 2022 security patch update. The build arrives on firmware version S90xUSQU2AVF1 and is currently available on Xfinity Mobile’s network. The other networks and unlocked models could get the update within the next few days.
• [June 3, 2022]: The June 2022 security patch is now available for the Exynos 2200 variant of the Galaxy S22 series. The update arrives on firmware version S90xBXXU2AVEH which is currently rolling out in multiple European countries.
• [June 3, 2022]: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered Galaxy S22 series are upgrading to the firmware version S90xEXXU2AVEH. The new update with June 2022 security patch is available in the UAE (United Arab Emirates), and it will expand to more markets in the coming days.
• [May 18, 2022]: A new update is rolling out for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 models of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Arriving on firmware version  S90xEXXU2AVE4, the update is rolling out in multiple regions. The build claims to bring improvements to the “overall stability of functions.” That implies it resolves some bugs and glitches, however, there are no precise details.
• [May 17, 2022]: The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are getting the May 2022 security patch in Canada. The build bears firmware version S90xWVLU2AVDC which also might bring some general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

• [May 9, 2022]: The May 2022 security patch is reaching out to the Galaxy S22 lineup in the US. Arriving on firmware version S90xU1UEU2AVDC, the build is unfurling for the carrier-unlocked models of the smartphones. Also, it brings general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
• [April 26, 2022]: Ahead of the beginning of next month, Samsung is releasing the May 2022 security patch to the Galaxy S22 lineup. The update arrives on the firmware version S901EXXS2AVDD for Galaxy S22, S906EXXS2AVDD for Galaxy S22+, and S908EXXS2AVDD for Galaxy S22 Ultra.

• [April 1, 2022]: The Exynos variant of the Galaxy S22 series is now getting the latest security maintenance, April 2022 in South Korea. The build is rolling out on the firmware version S901NKSU1AVCK, S906NKSU1AVCK, and S908NKSU1AVCK respectively for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. In addition, the version also updates 13 stock apps.
• [March 22, 2022]: The March 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S22 series is reaching out to more regions. The build is available for the carrier-unlocked models in the US through firmware version S90xU1UEU1AVC8.
• [March 20, 2022]:  Samsung is releasing the March 2022 security patch to the carrier-locked Galaxy S22 series devices in the US region now. The update bumps the firmware version to S90xUSQU1AVC8. It is available for Xfinity and Comcast networks currently and soon will be available for other carriers.
• [March 8, 2022]: After the Exynos variants, the March 2022 security patch is rolling out for the Snapdragon variants of the Galaxy S22 series. The update bumps the firmware version to S90XEXXU1AVBF.
• [February 28, 2022]: Samsung is releasing the March 2022 Security Patch to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The build is rolling out in Germany through the firmware version S90xBXXU1AVBF.
• [February 25, 2022]: The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra are getting a new update via firmware version S90xEXXU1AVB3. The build is currently rolling out in Afghanistan and Egypt with February 2022 security patch.
