Google Assistant now able to read out web pages for you

Google starts rolling out a new feature to its Assitant i.e. to read web pages. If you don’t want to read the long web page by yourself. Then Google Assistant can read it for you by giving a simple voice command. Moreover, the new feature will work with 42 languages.

Whenever you open a web page in your Google Assistant and give a command “hey google read this page”. Then it will start reading the content of that web page. While reading the web page will be automatically scrolled and highlight words as the assistant is reading them for you.

In this feature, you can also listen to the web page content in your native language by going through the translation menu. However, if you’re a web developer you don’t need to do anything to enable this feature. But if you don’t want to enable this feature on your website then add “nopageradaloud tag” in webmasters. You can also add the Google Assistant to read aloud feature in your mobile app using Actions on Google.

Currently, the new features start rolling out on Android phones. In future, it will be available on other devices also.
