The Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are another pair of phones much anticipated this year. However, there is considerable time before it releases. Until now, we have had some good leaks and bad leaks regarding the design of the duo. Bad leaks in the sense that the design looks really bad. But that is a very subjective thing, I understand.
Today, we have some credible info about the innards of the phone. More precisely, the brain of the next Pixel brothers. Evan Blass, mobile tech leakster posted on his Twitter that the new upcoming flagships will rock a brand new Snapdragon 836.
So, it would be one of the very first phones to do so. That would technically give it an upper hand over other flagships. Also, he said the device is expected to be shown off on October 5th. While the current Pixels were unveiled on October 4th last year.
This time, HTC has been tasked to manufacture the 5-inch Pixel 2. While LG will be making the bigger 6-inch Pixel XL 2. This explains the two conflicting renders that have shown radically different designs. One of them has a rather chunky top and bottom chins with stereo speakers.
The other with minimal bezels. And presumably, at least one of them will also employ Edge Sense. Needless to say, they will be the first to run Android 8.0 Oreo.
