Google pushes a new update for Pixel Watch following the December 2022 updates for Pixel smartphones and Google Play System. The Play System update also brought various features to Android smartphones. The December 2022 update for Google Pixel Watch will be available for devices running on Wear OS 3.5 or above. The update comes with the version number RWD9.220429.070 for Pixel Watch and RWD9.220429.070.J1 for Pixel Watch (JP/TW).
Apart from regular security bug fixes and improvements, the update also improves watch features. Google fixes bugs relating to hands-free profile (HFP) calling. It also adds an option for a single tap battery saver toggle. The Pixel Watch will no longer face the problematic watch face issue and Fitbit exercise issues. The update is rolling out in a phased manner starting today. It will take a couple of days to reach all the units of the Google Pixel Watch.
