Instagram Crossed 400 Million Active Users

Instagram has crossed 400 million active users base, it’s a new milestone that Instagram has achieved. Within span of 10 months Instagram has increased the active users from 300 Million to 400 Million.

According to some of the numbers shared by Instagram, they revealed that 75% of their community is based outside the US, meaning that a quarter of Instagrammers are from the US alone.

Here’s what Instagram has to say on this occasion:

We are thrilled to announce that the Instagram community has grown to more than 400 million strong. While milestones like this are important, what really excites us is the way that visual communication makes the world feel a little bit smaller to every one of us.

Our community has evolved to be even more global, with more than 75 percent living outside of the US. To all the new Instagrammers: welcome! Among the last 100 million to join, more than half live in Europe and Asia. The countries that added the most Instagrammers include Brazil, Japan and Indonesia.

These days Instagram is also monetizing its content and we estimate it will start generating enough revenue soon to get stood up on its own feet.
