A new month and the updated Android Security Bulletin for May 2018 is now live along with OTA and Factory images for Pixel and Nexus devices. Google is very sensitive in terms of security for Android device since past few years. Hence, the internet giant has been providing security patches every month for Android.

This month, Google has resolved 23 issues and the most severe one is a critical vulnerability Media framework. This could enable a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted file. However, Google ensured that they did not receive any reports from consumers related to this issue.
As for Pixel/Nexus security bulletin is concerned, Google has fixed 34 issues and issued 2 functional updates. The latter update includes improvement of multi-touch detection on all Pixel/Nexus devices and fix for Pixel XL charging behavior.
The OTA update for the above mentioned is already being rolled out. Also, Google has already uploaded the OTA and Factory images. Thus, if you cannot wait for it to hit your Pixel or Nexus device, then download the OTA or factory image from the links provided below. Make sure to go through each step properly while installing factory image to avoid any problem.
