Mi Watch v1.2.52 update brings support for Amazon Alexa, new watch faces and much more

Xiaomi has launched new Mi Watch series in September last year. Previously, Xiaomi presented many great fitness bands like the Mi Band 5 which supports women’s health tracking, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, 24-hour sleep monitoring, magnetic charging and many more. These fitness bands were offered budget-friendly. At first, they were limited to only their home market China later launched in Europe and the UK.

Mi Watch v1.2.52 update

Xiaomi Mi Watch gets a new v1.2.52 update which adds Amazon Alexa, camera shutter control and two new standby watch faces. However, the support for Amazon Alexa will help the users to connect to other devices via voice commands directly through the watch.

Camera shutter control is a new feature in which the user can click photos from their smartwatches instead of physically touching their smartphones. 

The smartwatch brought optimizations like an option to toggle on/off auto-pause in a workout, faster wake-ups and also fixed known issues.

Amazon Alexa is currently not available in all regions. However, it is expected to release soon in all regions. The update is currently rolling out in batches. As soon as the update is available there will be an automatic prompt on the Xiaomi Wear app.

Xiaomi Mi Watch specifications

Xiaomi Mi Watch hosts a high-quality AMOLED display and has specifications like fitness tracking, different sport profiles, waterproof etc. The smartphone also houses a 570mAh battery. It includes connectivity options like GPS, Light, Accelerator, Gyro.
