Nikon Coolpix S800 First Android Camera To Be Released


Nikon is prepping to release Nikon Coolpix S800, we are covering it because its the first Camera powered by Android. According to Nikon Rumors they will launch Coolpix S800 at the end of this month.

Apart from its 28-200mm f/2.4 lens, not much else is known and it has been speculated that it could be the P7100’s successor. Its also have 3.5-inch OLED display, and built-in GPS and WiFi. Most likely it will be running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. So we can also expect Social sharing and Android App integration. But  It’ll be difficult to protect users from potential malware when connected to the sometimes-dubious wares of the Google Play Store, an issue not faced by other cameras.

More information regarding Coolpix S800c have yet to surface ahead of an official unveiling. Is it good to introduce Android in Cameras?
