There are many advancements and enhancements in the new build. It has also fixed various bugs, odd behaviours of the phone. The third Developer preview has some issues related to Ambient display. Here are also some stability and application compatibility problems. Notably, the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro users might face i-display fingerprint sensor issues after upgrading to the Developer Preview 3.

If you’re interested to upgrade to the new Developer preview, then make sure to back up important data, as upgrading the developer preview results in data loss due to the data wiping requirement before installation. However, the data wiping is not necessary if you’re upgrading the stable or Open beta build on the OnePlus devices. You can follow the detailed instructions to install the update in the source link below. Any error while performing the update may result in Bricking your phone.
