MIUI update for the Poco F1 brings customizable lock screen and more


The predecessor of the Redmi K20 Pro which was launched as the POCO F1 made a huge impact on the Indian Smartphone Market. As promised, the POCO F1 started receiving the Android Q update but was later suspended in April. The POCO F1 started receiving MIUI last month but was pulled back as it had major bugs. Now the company has started rolling out a new update for the POCO F1. It brings some new features and advancements.

The latest update comes with MIUI version and brings the May 2019 Security Patch with improved security enhancements. It introduces new options to customize the lock screen widgets, clock style. It can be accessed by heading into Settings > Lock Screen > Customization > Advanced Settings. However, it doesn’t work with third party themes.

Here’s the complete changelog:

  • Updated Android Security Patch to May 2019. Increased system security.
  • New: Introducing customizable Lock screen clock (Settings > Lock screen & password > Advanced settings). New Lock screen clock doesn’t work with third party themes.
  • Optimization: Sorting principles for Wi-Fi networks
  • Fix: Dual apps disappeared after a reboot
