Realme is working quite hard to bring monthly security patches to almost every high-end, mid-range and some entry-level smartphones. After consecutive, March, and April security patches, the company is rolling out a new security patch update to the Realme 6 device in India. The new update also features some bug fixes which improves the overall performance of the device with better stability. The firmware version RMX2001_11.8.31 is rolling out in a staged manner to all the Realme units in the country.
The new update weighs 3.12 GB in size and carries fix for the display issue showing green and auto restart bug. Realme 6 new update is randomly rolling out a few users initially, and later will be pushed to a wider audience upon verification of successful update package without any major bugs. It is also known as with the name of phased or staged rollout. It may take a few days to a week for the update to surface on each Realme 6 unit. However, the users who can’t wait can manually flash the update by downloading the OTA file.
We suggest you switch to a wifi network to save a few bucks on the carrier data. Moreover, the users can head over to the Settings > About menu to manually check for the update.
