A year back, Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi 8 Dual at an affordable price tag in India with Android Pie based MIUI 11 (Skin) on the top. Later on, in September 2020, it was upgraded to Android 10. Now, the Redmi 8 Dual users have started picking the MIUI 12 Stable update. The update is steering out on the Firmware version V184.108.40.206.QCQINXM and it weighs nearly 487MB in size.
As per the changelog, the update comes with MIUI 12 features, a couple of changes, bug fixes, enhancements, January 2021 Security patch, etc. The update follows staggered rollout, which means the update will first rollout to a limited numbers before reaching out to a broader audience in future. So, it may take time to reach all the Beta devices. However, the Redmi 8A dual is renamed as Redmi 8A Pro in Indonesian markets.
