Xiaomi has announced the global edition of MIUI 12.5 Global update on February 8th along with the global launch of Mi 11. The Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Global update arrived in December 2020 and has been undergoing beta testing since then. The update is also applicable for their recently launched smartphone Mi 11 and some other devices. According to the company, the stable rollout will be available for international variants beginning this April.

Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are upgraded to Android 11 Operating System alongside MIUI 12.5 update. Typically, this is second OS update for Redmi Note 8 series.
