Redmi Earbuds S launched with 122ms latency, 12 hours playback in India for Rs 1799


Just to recall, Xiaomi has launched Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 earlier this month. Now, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has entered into the new audio category by launching Earbuds S in India. The new Redmi Earbuds S are available as Redmi AirDots S in China. In comparison with China’s price, the Indian price of AirDots S is a bit expensive. The AirDots S carries a price tag of Rs 1,100 in China. The newly launched Redmi Earbuds S will compete against recently launched Realme Buds Air Neo.

Redmi Buds Lauched

Redmi Earbuds S comes with a lightweight, compact and, stylish design. It supports Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity without auto-pairing. In case if you want to connect to the new device, you need to disconnect it and place it back in earbuds case and take them out to start pairing to a new device.

The new Redmi Buds offer 122ms low latency mode for gaming. It is PX4 rated waterproof which can sustain sweat, and splash. Coming to the battery, it supports 12 hours of battery time including the charging case battery charge. The buds feature an RTL8763BFR Bluetooth chip to reduce the environmental noise. The buds weight 4.1g and sport a 7.2mm drivers.

Price & Availability:

Unfortunately, The new Redmi buds are available only in black color only. It will be available for sale at, Amazon, Mi Homes, Mi Studios, and Mi Stores starting from 27th June at 12 noon. Coming to the price, the Realme buds carries a price tag of Rs.1799 (Roughly $23.77).
