Following the leaks and rumors, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 surfaced on NBTC in Thailand. After unveiling the design via FCC, and detailing the Bluetooth Version via Bluetooth SIG certification, the new SmartTag 2 is here at another public certification. The certification once again confirms the presence of Ultra Wide Band communication.
After a gap of a couple of years, the Korean giant is set for the Galaxy SmarTag 2 launch. However, there’s nothing official yet, but several certifications and leaks point towards imminent launch. The device was expected to launch at last month’s Galaxy Unpacked event, but it was missed from the event. There are no details about its availability as of now, but we expect the imminent launch.
A recent FCC listing confirmed its design that is quite different from the rounded-square-shaped design of the Galaxy Smart Tag. The successor is following a White Pill-Shaped design making it easy for users who prefer it with the key chains.
Further, the Samsung SmartTag 2 is expected to bundle Bluetooth 5.3 which will offer better efficiency, range, and connectivity options. The presence of UWB on SmartTag2 is another useful feature that was earlier present only in SmartTag Plus.
