Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 (T713) getting Android Nougat update

The US version of the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is now receiving Android Nougat. Believe it or not, the Almost two-year-old device has made it on Samsung’s roadmap of devices receiving Nougat

Samsung, was expected to bring Nougat in May to this device. But the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 (T713) is receiving it now. Well, better late, than never. Kudos to Samsung to bring Android Nougat to such an old device.

Android Nougat will surely do this tablet a world of good as it will have multi window feature. Multi window while not as useful on a smartphone can be very useful on a big 8.0-inch screen. The tablet will also get other Nougat goodies like notification reply and better battery management and a whole lot more. But the device is missing the Always On Display feature which was an expected feature earlier.

The new OS will have T713XXU2BQD3 build number. As always, charge up your devices to full and backup your important data and get ready for a refreshing new OS.
