Late last year Samsung introduced its latest smartwatch series Samsung Gear S3 in two variants— Classic & Frontier. Both smartwatches are powered by Samsung’s Tizen operating system. The smartwatches were already available on a variety of different carriers since long. However, Verizon then delayed their arrival until June this year. Better late than never, Gear S3 series finally arrives at Verizon.
Both smartwatches are now available to purchase through Verizon Wireless retail stores across United States at a price tag of $399.99. You also have an option to buy the smartwatches for $349.99 with a two-year contract.
Verizon has got a deal for you, if you choose to buy a Galaxy S8, S8+, S7, or S7 Edge, the company will offer $100 off the Gear S3 Frontier and Classic. This is to note that this offer is for a limited time-period only and a two-year contract for the Gear S3 is required.
Both Gear S3 Frontier and Classic features a circular 1.3-inch 360×360 always-on Super AMOLED display with rotating bezel. Both are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass SR+, designed specifically for wearables. Other features include a dual-core processor, 4GB of storage, 768MB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and LTE capabilities.
The smartwatches come with a 380 mAh battery that Samsung promises will last up to four days on a single charge. Gear S3 Frontier is the more rugged-looking smartwatch, while Gear S3 Classic looks really elegant. Both smartwatches are IP68 water and dust resistance certified.
