List of Samsung Galaxy smartphones getting One UI 4.0 (Android 12)

Samsung is rolling out Android 11-based One UI 3.0 and 3.1 updates to some of its mid-range flagship smartphones, such as Galaxy A51, A71, M30 and Galaxy M31s. It has even started rolling out One UI 3.1 skin to many of its smartphones. And now, it is expected that Samsung will continue to release updates for One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 skin as well, once it gets official.

The company announced 3 major OS updates wherein only certain models were eligible. But, as of now, those models which previously could not have been updated, have made it to the eligibility list. On a brighter note, the Korean giant is pushing official support for up to 4 years. 

Google recently rolled out an Android 12 Developer Program. This Preview program will end and the Beta program will start in May. However, the stable update is expected to go live in September this year. As and when Google starts rolling out the stable update, Samsung will initiate its own beta program.

According to the reports, Samsung will be rolling out Android 12 to almost every smartphone that runs on Android 10 and some models with Android 9. We have curated an Unofficial list of smartphones that are eligible to get an Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update.

Release Dates

Samsung is expected to come up with the One UI 4.0 beta program in around October this year. Galaxy S21 will be the initial series to be tested in the beta series. Soon the beta program is could to expand to other flagships of Samsung such as Galaxy Note 21. The Samsung foldable smartphones that are expected to launch this year could also be included in this program.

All in all, the One UI 4.0 update from Samsung is still far away. The release is tentative for this year.
