This new update brings a few tweaks to the devices. The major highlight of the update is its latest June 2018 security patch. A few days back an identical update was released for Galaxy A6 and J7 Pro devices, however, this time it is being made available to Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, Galaxy J2 Prime, and the Galaxy A5 2016. These devices are receiving the new update and to be honest being a security patch. It doesn’t bring any noticeable changes in the device. The update is essential as upgraded security policies will protect your device from several vulnerabilities

The update is arriving with the version G950USQU4CRE9 for Galaxy S9, G955USQU4CRE9 for the Galaxy S9+, G532MUMS1ARF2 for the Galaxy J2 Prime, and A510MUBS4CRF2 for the Galaxy A5 2016. It is worth noting that the only way to install is OTA and for now it is in rolling phase. If you haven’t received the update yet then there is nothing to bother as it might take a week or two to arrive on all device units. For more Android stuff stay tuned to GoAndroid.
