TWRP adds support for Redmi 4X, Xperia XZ Premium and some more devices

If you have not been living under the Sun, then you might not know that TWRP is the most widely used custom recovery software in the world as of 2017. But even then, new devices are released every month. And those devices need TWRP support if users are to tinker with the software. Hopefully, TeamWin is dedicated to its cause and they regularly add to their huge base of supported devices.

The latest to be added to the long list is the Sony Xperia XZ Premium which is just two months old in the US. Also, the Xiaomi Redmi 4X is now compatible with it. Also, the Lenovo K33 and Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro (C900F/Y and China) are now supported as well.

Good news is that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ (Snapdragon) also are officially supported. But not the US models. If you happen to own one of these devices and want to navigate the galaxy of ROMs, you might want to install TWRP first. We’ll leave a link to that below.
