Verizon based Galaxy Note 10 & Note 20 series get June 2021 Security Patch

Samsung is ahead of all smartphone brands in terms of updates. After the global units of their flagships, the company is now releasing the current security maintenance to the US variants. Following the Unlocked variants of Galaxy Note 9, the Verizon-based Galaxy Note 10 & Note 20 are grabbing the June 2021 Security Patch.

The latest firmware for the Note 20 arrives on build number N981USQS2DUE2. While the Note 20 Ultra will grab N986USQU2DUC5. For the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+, the update can be identified by versions N970USQS6FUE3 and N975USQS6FUE3 respectively. Apart from these, the 5G variant of Note 10+ will grab N976VVRS6FUE3.

The changelog of this update is currently unavailable. As it is a security patch update, it might include Optimizations, Bug fixes, improvements, etc. In case if the company adds any new features via this update then you will be experiencing them while using your device.

According to Samsung’s documentation, the June 2021 security patch includes 47 fixes from Google, which includes 2 critical and 27 high impacts, and 5 moderate vulnerabilities. Moreover, the patch also brings 19 fixes from Samsung’s own software including 3 High impacts, and 8 Moderate risks.

As usual, the OTA update is rolling out in batches so you might have to wait for a while to grab the new build. But, you can always track it manually by heading to the phone’s Settings -> About phone -> Software updates -> Check for updates and tap Download and install if the new version pops up.
