Vivo has introduced another Y-series smartphone: the Vivo Y30 5G. The handset is a budget offering that is currently available in Thailand. The phone will also make its way to India soon. However, the precise date is still unknown. Regardless, here’s a detailed look at the latest Vivo handset.

The latest 5G-powered handset by Vivo is built around a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch at the top. The phone features an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a standard 60Hz refresh rate, and an 89% screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y30 5G runs an octa-core processor based on MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The chipset is paired with 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM. Also, it supports 2GB of Extended RAM and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. For software, the device runs Android 12-based FuntouchOS 12 out of the box.

In terms of camera, the smartphone carries a dual camera island. The module consists of a 50MP primary camera along with a 2MP macro lens. At the front, the phone houses an 8MP unit to serve selfies and video chats.

In addition, Vivo Y30 5G packs a 5000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging over a USB Type-C port. Besides, it offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock security support. The other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, etc.

The Vivo Y30 5G arrives in Starlight Black and Rainbow color options. The device costs ฿8,699 (~ ₹18,950) in Thailand for its sole 6GB/ 128GB storage option.
