According to The Independent:

The Prime Minister said today that he would stop the use of methods of communication that cannot be read by the security services even if they have a warrant. But that could include popular chat and social apps that encrypt their data, such as WhatsApp.

Apple’s iMessage and FaceTime also encrypt their data, and could fall under the ban along with other encrypted chat apps like Telegram.

Also, according to Ars Technica David Cameron said:

“Are we going to allow a means of communications which it simply isn’t possible to read?” Cameron said Monday while campaigning, in reference to apps such as WhatsApp, Snapchat, and other encrypted services. “My answer to that question is: ‘No, we must not.”

So its obvious that there is a danger of those services being stopped, but can the ban really be placed and will the people find a way around are some of the things that are suppose to be seen. So only time will tell the fate of these apps and services. Do share your opinion with the comments below.
