WhatsApp message disappearing feature in works for commercial launch

After the WhatsApp Status feature, which disappears automatically after 24 hours, the company is now testing disappearing messages feature for its users. As revealed by our folks at WABetainfo, the upcoming feature is traced in the WhatsApp Beta version 2.19.275.

The feature will allow the user to delete the messages after some time. It will work like the WhatsApp Status feature. Upon automatic deletion, the app won’t even show “deleted this message” for the user. There won’t be any trace left for the users to find the disapperead message. It will be a part of groups on WhatsApp and will be available for certain time slots. The company is currently working on a number of unreleased features behind the scenes.

The new feature is not even accessible to WhatsApp Beta users as the company has not fully shaped it. The feature is currently in the development and we expect a fully functional message disappearing function to be live in the upcoming updates. However, there’s no exact information regarding its commercial launch.

There are a lot of pending features that are slated to be under development for WhatsApp beta users. We hope in the coming few months we will get some useful features on the largest social messaging platform.
