Xiaomi Redmi K20 receives Android 11 update, Mi 9T will follow soon

The Xiaomi Redmi K20 has bagged Android 11 update. The smartphone was launched in May 2019 with Android Pie and shortly after it was updated to Android 10.

The device is referred to as Redmi K20 in India and China, while in other regions it is sold as Mi 9T.

With two updates already rolled out, K20 became automatically eligible for Android 11. However, the new update is in the form of Beta. The update is based on MIUI 12 and is already making this smartphone a tough competition for others.

The new update has a file size of 2.4 GB and is said to carry security patch level to February. Considering the Beta version, the update will only be available to select users as of now. If the testing phase yields positive results, the same version will roll out in China.
