Asus has unveiled its plans for Kitkat update to PadFone range of devices to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. It seems quite un-often as Asus has not been providing some important updates to its devices from the past few months but this seems to be good comeback by providing roadmap for Kitkat update to its Padfone series.

As according to the list an ASUS PadFone 2, PadFone Infinity(the old and new models), or PadFone A80. This particular Android 4.4 KitKat update will arrive on the original PadFone Infinity in Asia and Russia, as well as the PadFone A80 in Europe. The PadFone 2 and the new Infinity should see KitKat in all territories. Also Asus is introducing new UI in its latest update. There’s nothing revealed about it but Asus said, “In keeping with our commitment to providing the best customer experience, these updates will all include ASUS ZenUI, the stunning new user interface developed by ASUS for its latest mobile devices,” touts the company.” ASUS ZenUI takes the mobile experience to a new level, giving users new and exciting ways of interacting with their devices.”

The updates for Asus Padfone 2 and Padfone A80 are expected to roll out by the end of the second quarter of the year but Padfone Infinity users have to wait for some more time as Asus is saying that they may rollout it in July-September period or before the end of the 3rd quarter of this year.

So anyone here having these devices? Are you guys happy now ?
