[Update: October 2023 Security Patch] Asus ROG Phone 5s Updates Tracker

Asus decided to add a new device to the ROG Phone 5 series— ROG Phone 5s. The smartphone comes with Snapdragon 888+ 5G SoC coupled with an octa-core processor and Adreno 660 GPU. The smartphone houses a 6.78-inch AMOLED display paired with up to 256GB of internal storage and 16GB RAM. A 64 MP sensor leads the triple-rear camera module and a 24 MP snapper serves video calling and selfies.

• [August 18, 2023]: Asus is rolling out August 2023 Security Patch for the Asus ROG Phone 5s via 33.0210.0210.229.
• [July 05, 2023]: Asus ROG Phone 5s (ZS676KS) is receiving a new update with the firmware version 33.0210.0210.221 carrying July 2023 Security Patch.

• [February 01, 2023]: Asus ROG Phone 5s (ZS676KS) is receiving a new update with the firmware version 31.0810.1226.146 carrying January 2023 Security Patch.
• [November 21, 2022]: Asus is rolling out November 2022 Security Patch for the Asus ROG Phone 5s via 31.0810.1226.139.
• [September 21, 2022]: Asus ROG Phone 5s is receiving a new update with the firmware version 31.0810.1226.128 carrying September 2022 Security Patch.
• [August 25, 2022]: The ROG Phone 5 is picking up a new software update that bumps the security maintenance to July 2022. The build is rolling out with the firmware version 31.0810.1226.114. Besides increasing privacy, the update does not bring any other significant changes.
• [June 23, 2022]: Asus ROG Phone 5s is getting a new update on the firmware version31.0810.1226.91. The build does not pack any major changes. However, it optimizes the touch experience and the NFC reading speed of HK Octopus cards via phone. Also, after updating, your device will support HK WiFi 6E.

• [April 29, 2022]: Asus is releasing another update for the ROG Phone 5s with March 2022 security patch. The build arrives on firmware version 31.0810.1226.77. In addition, it fixes the fingerprint indicator issue and brings a couple of optimizations as mentioned in the changelog below.

• [April 6, 2022]: The ROG Phone 5s is getting a new update on firmware version 31.0810.1226.67. For Android 12 users, it packs the February 2022 security patch along with a couple of fixes as mentioned in the changelog below. Whereas for Android 11 users, it brings all the goodness of the latest operating system.

• [March 28, 2022]: The ROG Phone 5s is getting the February 2022 security patch update on firmware version 18.1220.2202.206. In addition, it brings a couple of fixes and optimizes the audio parameters.

• [February 18, 2022]: Asus ROG Phone 5s is releasing a new update globally via build number 18.1220.2201.192. Depending on your current firmware version, here is what the new software will carry to your device:

• Updated Android security patch to 2022-01
• Fixed an issue where the game field of view could not keep up with the sliding speed of your fingers in Garena Free Fire
• Fixed an issue where Instagram would crash when launched as a twin app
• Fixed an issue of ringtone popping after answering a WeChat call when using a Bluetooth headset

• [February 7, 2022]: Asus ROG Phone 5s is getting a new update in Japan via the firmware version 18.1220.2201.186. The package carries the January 2022 security patch along with a few fixes and optimization as mentioned below:

• [January 6, 2021]: The ROG Phone 5s in Japan is receiving a new update via18.1220.2112.175 firmware version. It brings the December 2021 security patch and a few other changes that you can see below.

• [December 2, 2021]: Asus ROG Phone 5s is receiving a new update in Japan that improves system stability. The build arrives on the firmware version 18.0840.2111.200, ensuring a seamless performance.

• [October 25, 2021]: Asus ROG Phone 5s is receiving a new software update worldwide on the firmware version WW_18.1220.2109.149. The package optimizes the call quality and fixes the issue where the car screen is displayed abnormally when the device is connected.
