ASUS rolls out Android Pie update to Zenfone Max Pro M1 globally

ASUS revamped its budget smartphone offerings with the Zenfone Max Pro M1 last year. It came with stock Android, unlike any previous ASUS-branded smartphones. It ran Android Oreo out of the box and was promised to get Android Pie update in the future. As promised, ASUS rolled out the update in India last month. And now, the global version is too receiving the same.

The Android Pie update for the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 global version (ZB602KL) carries the build number 16.2017.1905.053. The update weighs around 1.5 GB and features many fixes as well. The notable fixes are regrading HD graphics option in PUBG Mobile and call waiting. Last but not least, the update comes with May 2019 security patch.

As the Android Pie update for the Zenfone Max Pro M1 is being rolled out Over The Air (OTA), it might take time to reach all the users. However, you can still check for the update from Settings -> System -> System updates. We would recommend you to download and install the update when you have enough juice left in your phone.

If you have already received the update and installed it successfully, then do let us know about your experience in the comment section below.
