Asus unveils High-end ROG gaming phone with an overclocked Snapdragon 845 SoC

Asus has finally unveiled its ROG phone. Asus has its separate ROG sub-brand that is only targeted in developing high-quality gaming products. Under ROG they make PC’s, Laptops, Motherboards, Graphics cards, and other accessories. Today Asus has made an addition to the ROG brand by launching a new Gaming smartphone. It was the first time when Asus has stepped in the gaming smartphone market. The device has some crazy hardware inside that can crush any game easily, so without wasting any time let’s know more about it.

The design of the device is exceptional and it also possesses a glowing ROG logo on the back that can be customized to any color. It comes powered by a mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and that too is an overclocked edition 2.96Ghz. It offers 8GB of RAM and will be made available in two storage variants: 128GB and 512GB. The device has a 6.0(inch) Full HD+ 18:9 ratio AMOLED Display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, HDR support, etc. The smartphone runs on a mammoth 4000mAh battery with “HyperCharge” support.

The handset supports Hi-Res sound and along with that it has three ultrasonic pressure sensitive sensors and works very similar to the one seen on HTC devices. According to the brand, their device is water resistant and can survive water splashes. In the rear, it has a Dual 12MP+8MP camera setup whereas in the front a single 8MP shooter is present. The handset comes with two additional accessories: AeroActive Cooler and Gamevice controller. The price of the handset is not yet revealed.
