New software update for Asus Zenfone 8 optimizes System Stability and adds more stuff

Asus had recently launched its latest line-up of flagship devices, the Asus Zenfone 8 series. The Asus Zenfone 8 Series consists of the compact Asus Zenfone 8 and the Asus Zenfone 8 Flip. The Asus Zenfone 8 Flip recently received a software update that bought various optimizations to the device. Now, the brand has started rolling out a new update to the smaller Asus Zenfone 8. To recall, the device had also received an update last month with firmware version 30.11.51.50. The latest software update to the Zenfone 8 comes as firmware 30.11.51.60.

This is going to be the fourth software update for the Asus Zenfone 8 since its launch. The update is specifically being rolled out for the model number ZS590KS. The rollout has already begun as of 10th May.

The 30.11.51.60 software update for the Zenfone 8 primarily focuses on optimizing the device for an overall better experience. It is a ZenUI 8 update based on Android 11. Asus claims that with this update, they’ve optimized the overall system stability. They have also optimized the fingerprint scanner stability. After this update, users can expect slightly better battery life due to the alleged improvements to the system power consumption.

As always, the update will roll out in batches. Therefore users are advised to stay patient for the update to arrive at their unit. Asus Zenfone 8 owners can also manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > System > System Updates.

The Zenfone 8 is a compact flagship offering from Asus. This is due to the relatively small 5.9″ FHD+ AMOLED display. It is a panel with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The display is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus. The device is powered by the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. It sports a dual rear camera setup headed by the primary 64MP shooter followed by a 12MP Ultrawide camera. Selfie duties are handled by a 12MP shooter. The smartphone is backed by a 4000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. It comes in various RAM and ROM configurations starting from 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM all the way up to 16GB RAM + 256GB ROM. The device has been launched in multiple markets and will soon make its way to India
