Like every other major smartphone brand, DOOGEE is a Chinese mobile communications company established in 2013. The brand is known for its high standard testing and high-tech quality inspection. It intends to create a mobile phone that will be waterproof forever and never fall to be damaged. Following this path, the company is preparing a new rugged smartphone— Doogee S89 Pro. The device will make its debut this month. Ahead of the launch, here’s everything about the upcoming handset.

The main highlight of the Doogee S89 Pro is that it is the first rugged phone with a multicolor breathing light design. Moreover, it is IP68 and IP69K rated, making it splash resistant. In fact, you can take the smartphone to the shower or safely lower it into the water. Likewise, you can take it in rain or snow as well.
Talking about the specifications, the device features a 6.3-inch LCD FHD+ Dot Display with a batman exterior design. The panel offers a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels which is quite radiant and clear and a layer of Gorilla Glass protection on top.
Under the hood, the upcoming phone will equip the MediaTek Helio P90 processor. The chipset is paired with PowerVR GM 9446 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. On the software front, the rugged phone will boost the latest Android 12 out of the box.
In terms of optics, the Doogee S89 Pro carries a 64MP + 20MP + 8MP rear Triple AI snapper alongside the Dual LED flash. Also, there’s a 20MP shooter with Night Vision support as well. On the other side, there’s a 16MP camera for selfies and video chats.
In addition, the handset will pack a massive 12,000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. Besides, it will also support wireless charging as well. DOOGEE claims that the phone will provide a standby time of 36 days, while the battery life can last up to 5-6 days. If in continuous use, you can use the phone for 14-15 hours and a talk time of 56 hours.
Besides, the rugged phone will measure 172 x 86 x 19.4mm in dimensions and weigh 400g. The other notable features include a Dual SIM card slot, SD card slot, a USB Type-C port, and NFC support. However, it misses out on a 3.5 mm headphone jack and 5G connectivity. Although you can use the Type-C port to attach headphones.

The connectivity options on board are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, and GLONASS. Besides, the sensors include notifications LED, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyro, accelerometer, compass, barometer, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
